Jamie Karp, Chief Operating Officer
Jamie is an organizational development professional with over twenty-five years of experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. TP Consulting is an outgrowth of Jamie’s belief that the right person really can make a difference in an organization and Jamie’s commitment to helping organizations fulfill their crucial staffing needs. Jamie has worked with a wide variety of national and international organizations. On the search front, he has placed professionals at all levels, with a focus on recruiting senior leadership.
Jamie also has expertise in leadership and retention initiatives, employee relations, benefits/compensation, and employee communications. He has developed and executed professional development trainings on a variety of topics, from leadership development, to sexual harassment training & EEOC compliance, to recruitment and retention best practices.
Jamie began his career in the public sector as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with the United States Department of Labor. After completing his graduate studies he moved to the private sector, joining Yasuyuki Nambu’s International consulting team, Nambu International. Some of Jamie’s career achievements include:
· Director of Human Resources, JustSystems North America, Inc. At JustSystems he recruited the executive, senior management, field personnel teams, along with managing all US based HR functions.
· Pioneered international executive search practice for IMCA Inc. Placements included CEO’s CTO’s, CFO’s, COO’s, EVP’s, SVP’s, MD’s, PhD’s, and field engineers
· As the Senior Vice President & General Manager of Recruit I.C.I., built international executive search practice along with tactical oversight of company’s international ob fair business.
· Selected to “International WHO’S WHO of Professionals 2003" by WHO’S WHO Historical Society.
· Member, Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM).
Jamie holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and English from Tufts University.
